Introduction to Wireless Printer

In the situations where cabling is inconvenient or impossible wireless printing provides the cost effective printing solutions for the organizations.  Wireless printing allows you to print your documents, photographs, graphical presentations and marketing material from anywhere.

The main components in the wireless printer includes the Bluetooth enablement, wireless printer software and wireless printing portal service that keep tracks of the available printers at the hot spots and other public places.

With specialized wireless printing software on your handheld device you can send a printing request to a network printer to a computer with unique IP address or to internet enabled server.  Today most of the wireless printers are geared towards the business users.

How to Install Wireless Printer

Installing a wireless printer adapter in your computer can be done with few steps.  Before starting the installation process read the product’s manual and instructions carefully.

  • Turn on your computer and wireless printer.
  • Insert the installation CD in the CD-ROM.
  • Read the instructions on the screen carefully.
  • Plug the wireless card on the slots of your computer.
  • Follow the instructions.
  • After installation restart your computer and make sure that you are able to send the printing requests successfully.

If you don’t have the installation CD then you can find the device drivers on the manufacturer’s website.

There are some distance limitations so some wireless printers may not work fine on the longer distances so please check the product’s manual for the exact distance, specifications and configurations.
