Introduction to Wireless Transmission

The wireless transmission is the sending and receiving of the data packets over the distance without the use of wires. The wireless network transmission is the ideal for the locations where the physical mediums like coaxial cables, UPT/STP and fiber optic is not possible to deploy.  The demand of the wireless communications is increasing exponentially.

The wireless communication can be performed in a variety of ways such as wireless Ethernet, GSM, Bluetooth, Infrared, Wi-Fi and Wi-Max. Similarly the broadband wireless is an emerging wireless technology that allows the simultaneous delivery of the voice, video and data signals.

All these technologies based on the different standards and specifications.  The wireless communication uses the radio and electromagnetic waves to transmit the data.  Most of the wireless transmission standards are based on the 802.11 specifications.

Windows based operating systems provide the high speed networking support in the Wireless Local Area Networks.   Windows provide the wireless networking experience for the home, office and business PC users.  It provides the enhanced support for the various wireless communication protocols.  There are many issues that should be considered while deploying a wireless network.  Some of the common factors include electromagnetic interference, data security, coverage and the standards.
