Introduction to Caching

In the computer, the caching is the collection of data that is stored in the computer. Caching is a high speed storage mechanism and it can be reserved section of the main memory to store the data.  The data is preserved in the memory for the immediate access.  Caching is mainly used to speed up the processing and it is used to the quick retrieval and processing of the data by the computer. Caching brings the performance to the web applications.

Web browsers stores the recently used web pages in the cache directory of your computer and these pages are later used for the frequent access.  This process saves your time of accessing the same web applications.  There are different types of caching technologies such as disk cache, memory cache, browser cache and server cache.  Caching is also used to distribute the internet contents on the multiple servers for frequent access.
